If you are not a WWE fan, you might simply have seen the faces of these popular wrestlers once or twice on TV. Today, we will look at several wrestling greats during their time and what they are up to today.
One of the famous wrestlers in WWE is Jesse Ventura also called ‘The Body.’ The life of Ventura after wrestling is one that is very public. Even before the WWE became a household favorite, Ventura was already wrestling great. After his wrestling career, he has a stint as a commentator in WWE events. His stint as a commentator was very controversial because he always favored the villain more than the good guys.
He soon became involved in politics after his stint at the WWE. He became mayor of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota for four years. He became governor of Minnesota in 1998 under the REofrm Party and beating candidates from both the Democratic and Republican parties. He was governor until 2003. He tried to bid for the presidency in 2016. He has hinted running for president in 2020 but nothing is really official as of now.
People may have forgotten that The Rock was once a famous wrestler since today, he is more popularly known as a movie actor. The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin dominated the w$$$restling world in the late 90s and early 2000. After that, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson became a household name for his acting career. Dwayne then starred in many movies starting from The Scorpio King in 2002. Dwayne starred in other action and comedy movies and he starred in the famous Fast and Furious franchise as Luke Hobbs.
Stone Cold Steve Austin was the biggest star in WWE history along with Hulk Hogan. He didn’t gain much success outside the wrestling community. He also had a short acting stint playing the role of Dan Paine in the movie The Expendables. He also hosted several reality competitions including Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Challenge.
John Cena is one of the biggest and most successful star in WWE and still active in the wrestling world. He is known for winning a record of sixteen world championships in the WWE and five US championships. He now has a successful film career starting with WWE-produced films The Marine and 12 Rounds. He also starred and directed several comedies including Trainwreck and Blockers.
Hulk Hogan is perhaps the most popular wrestler of all time. He also became involved in the moveis starring in famlly[friendly films and actions films. Hogan today is busy in charity work and he owns two stores in florida called Hogan’s Beach shop which contains Hogan memorabilia that you can view here.
